Em Turning Paiges: The Intro
My cousin Paige read 63 books in 2021. I read…. one.
Younger me would be horrified, present me is pretty massively ashamed. My writing suffers when I don’t read regularly, and, well, I haven’t written much of anything in the past two years (sadly, marketing copy required by my 9-5 doesn’t count). Moving into 2022, I’m getting back into my bookworm ways—reading more, writing more, keeping more in touch with Paigey.
Here’s how this works:
Paige and I will read [at least] a book a month. She will inevitably school me and read many more than that, but this isn’t a competition. I think.
Paige will post a pic with a short review on @itsapaigeturner (because she’s funny. And smart! See where I get it from?) and then I will take inspiration from her review and post something a bit longer form to outline my thoughts.
Will I agree with her? Will I think she’s nuts? Will I decide to be argumentative for no apparent reason? We’ll find all of this out together.
Follow along, chime in in the comments section, or do nothing at all—we’ll be here if you need us.
