They adventured their own way
through the world’s most populated cities
following each other around, arm in arm
taking turns learning and teaching and oftentimes discovering
the exact same thing at the exact same time
In New York they had pitchers and pizza and nothing very serious at all.
LA brought warmth to their cheeks and depth to their souls and traffic that didn’t feel so bad.
Japan was for otters and 7eleven spam musubi and wrong turns in the rain.
and Korea meant soju and seafood and family meetings that could never be forgotten.
New destinations wait patiently,
and we
don’t.
